Today my therapist asked me to name 3 things I love about myself. I’m quite mortified by how difficult I struggled to answer the question. Truthfully, I felt so overwhelmed by the question I came up with 3 things I’m not even sure about. So, I owe it to myself to find more things to love about myself.
My biggest strength is my logic. I always think carefully before making decisions. Over-analyzing everything to make the most practical choices is my super power. I value ergonomics over esthetics. It’s important for things to make sense. This makes me feel safe, and security is the most valuable concept for me.
I’m proud of my curiosity. I love diving down rabbit holes and learning new things. I used to live for old school Food Network (before all the competition shows) and TLC (before they started exploiting fat people). My goal is to spend more time learning about myself and the things that fuel, drain, and comfort me. Because we can’t love what we don’t truly know.
I hope to never ever hesitate again when being asked what I love about myself, because I deserve to love all of me. I will get there.
